Collective Memories in Exhibition

movement-based workshop led by Orkun Türkmen & Barbora Türkmen

Emil Filla Gallery, Ústí nad Labem

5. 11. 2025 6 pm–8pm

We invite you to a movement-based workshop that develops in dialogue with the exhibition. The workshop offers a series of embodied invitations shaped by the notion of collective memories.

Throughout the workshop, participants are invited to enter into a dialogue with the exhibition works through body and movement —shifting from passive viewing to active encounter. Guided movement improvisations, connected with the form or content of each work, bring us closer to the exhibition and deepen our understanding of collective memory. The workshop creates space to sense, reflect, and share; while asking new questions about how memories are experienced, carried, and transformed through movement and within the collective.

The workshop is open for everyone. No prior dance or theatre experience is needed – just a willingness to explore new ways of thinking and moving!

The workshop will be in Czech & English and is a part of the public program of the Double Truth: Reveal exhibition.
